We walked to the cute downtown Harrisonburg for dinner which had a college town feel. The beds were super comfy and the breakfast was delicious! The old victorian home was charming and in great condition! We highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Harrisonburg. We would definitely go back :)

We stayed at the Inn when visiting our son at JMU. It is a Beautifully decorated bed-and-breakfast that’s a walkable distance from downtown. Lots of restaurants nearby. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for our 49th wedding anniversary. The Inn was very clean and close to the town of Harrisonburg. We were able to walk to a restaurant for dinner and to the Farmer's Market. We loved the outdoor seating area and the grounds were will tended. The breakfast was very delicious and generous. Our room was spacious and quiet. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend the Inn

Comfortable room in a home with beautiful interior wood work. The property is well located to downtown. I only met one of the hosts briefly but the woman who acted as chef the morning I was there was very pleasant and served a delicious breakfast.

This was our second stay at the Friendly City Inn and it was a great experience (again). The owners and staff continue to make nice improvements to this historic inn. We found our room to be very clean and comfortable, and Kyle was an excellent host -readily available to help with any questions or needs. The location of this inn is hard to beat, close enough to town for easy access to excellent restaurants and other attractions, but situated in a very quite neighborhood with beautiful outdoor spaces for a relaxing experience. The breakfast quality and presentation is probably the best we have ever experienced at a B&B. This time we enjoyed our breakfast on the outdoor porch on a pleasant summer morning...not sure the experience could have been any better! We will definitely be returning on a regular basis.

Amazing breakfast and homemade cookies! We loved the seating area outside, and our room was very comfortable. We will definitely plan to stay here again when we're in Harrisonburg.

The room was beautiful. We stayed in the Blue Ridge room, the amenities were very good. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous. Had a very restful and peaceful night and experience. it’s close enough to walk into town for any restaurant you want or to go to the cafés.

We have been visiting the Friendly City Inn for years. It is our favorite place to stay in Harrisonburg. The facility is wonderful and the staff is fantastic - so pleasant and professional. Fresh, homemade cookies is just one of the special details they offer.

Great place to stay in Harrisonburg. Delicious breakfast, lots of charm and excellent service. Rooms have charm, nice size, sheets and bed were super comfortable. Outdoor porch for dining is a nice break as well.

Nestled in Harrisonburg’s historic lies a gem. The Friendly City Inn was a fortunate fluke. We came from NY to pack up our daughter from JMU and were lucky they had availability. What a treat! I’m an architect and loved the Queen Anne/ Grand New England style of this home. Beca and her team of Kyle and others were fantastic and made us feel welcome and right at home. Did I mention the amazing gourmet breakfast? My only regret- we didn’t discover FCI sooner.

Spent a very pleasant night on our way to Monticello. Becca is warm and welcoming. The B&B is a short walk to town. Our room was very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and would have liked to stay longer.

We stayed in the Shenandoah Suite on the first floor. It was so spacious with lots of windows and light. It had everything a high quality B & B should have (without a crazy over the top price) - a gracious/helpful host, cookies, bottles of water, TV, and a VERY delicious and filling breakfast. It is close to downtown and many restaurants. If you are going near Harrisonburg, don't hesitate to make reservations to stay here.

Passing through Harrisonburg Va decided to stay here overnight and it was a GREAT! Decision Nice rooms great shower and a wonderful breakfast. The mattress was extremely comfortable and the room was very CLEAN. The historic fabric and setting of the house was charming. Would stay again anytime.

Outstanding experience with friendly accommodations and delicious food. If ever back in town will surely stay again and I encourage others to do the same. Becca was extremely courteous and the inn was quaint and aesthetic. Again the food was just fantastic!
